Governments and Local Authorities are a full ministry which is under
the Presidency and managed by the Minister of State assisted by two
deputies as managers. There is also the Secretary General who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Government's activities.
Simiyu Region was established by Government Proclamation (GN) No. 72 March 02, 2012. This region is located in Northern Tanzania, South East Lake of Victoria. This region is located between latitude 33 ° 03 "and 34 ° 01" East of Griniwichi line and latitude 02 ° 01 "to 04 ° 00" south of Equatorial. In the North, Simiyu Province borders with Mara Province; East Arusha Singida and Manyara Provinces; South Shinyanga Region and Tabora and on the west side of Mwanza Region.

Simiyu
Region has an area of 23,807.70 square kilometers. The ideal
location for agricultural and pastoral activities is 11,479.10 square
kilometers 11,723.60 square kilometers is the area of the Serengeti
National Park, Maswa, Wildlife Reserve and Spike; and Wildlife
Community Reserves (WMAs) located in the Meatu District and 605 square
kilometers are the waters of Lake Victoria.
