The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) on behalf of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania entered into a Contract for the Upgrading of Makutano – Nyamuswa – Ikoma gate road to bitumen standard (135km); lot 2: Sanzate – Natta section (40km); Contract No. TRD/HQ/1042/2019/20. The Contract period is 26 months including Defects Liability Period of 12 months.

The Regional Manager’s Office TANROADS – Mara, on behalf of the Chief Executive, TANROADS, intends to recruit qualified and competent Staff to fill the following vacant posts for the specific duties on short-terms contract within the Region
Successful applicants must be ready to work for considerable lengths of time in Bunda/ Serengeti District within the project area if situations warrant.
POSITION TITLE: Material Technician (2 POST)
Educational/Professional qualifications:-
Must have a Full Technician Certificate or Diploma in civil engineering or equivalent from any recognized Learning Institution/colleges.
A National Form IV/VI certificate.
Work Experience:
- At least 3 years of cumulative experience related to road/ Bridge design and construction.
- Served as a Pavement/Material Technician or an equivalent Capacity on at least three (3) years in the road construction projects of similar magnitude and complexity.
- Must be Computer literate.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Self-motivation, able to work under pressure outside working hours with minimum supervision.
