Overview / Responsibilities:
We are currently recruiting for a PMC Construction Manager with
extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. He / She
should have extensive experience in Construction planning,
constructability reviews and managing site construction activities in
onshore environments. This position will be based at onshore site
working 5 days / week for 50 hrs / week on residenital basis. Successful
candidate will be responsible for below duties;
- To monitor, evaluate and supervise big construction project teams
- Identify opportunities to improve execution processes and strategies designed to improve efficient construction operations and safe working practices
- Review construction progress and provide critical forward planning and input on construction management and execution strategies in line with ADNOC development projections
- Interface with ADNOC departmental organizations to provide advice on setting priorities, project feasibility and deliverability of material, equipment, manpower availability and schedules
- Monitor Contractors to ensure their performance and services meet their contractual obligations
- Optimize of Total Installed Cost to Client without compromising Quality, HSE and Client general requirements
- Active participation in SIMOPS and Constructability review sessions
- Ensure completion of Construction and Mechanical completion activities
- Participate in constructability reviews, ensure manpower and equipment resources required are available to support construction needs
- Perform audits on work packages to ensure they are ‘fit for purpose’ and usable by the onshore construction field teams
- Coordinate with Engineering office resources to Island construction teams in all areas of safety, including management, compliance, work procedures, risk evaluation and communications
- Participate in the development of construction procedures
- Assist in developing the construction teams understanding and adherence to project policies and procedures
Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or construction
- Minimum of 20 years of experience with minimum 15 years in oil and gas industry
- Minimum 5 years working as construction manager in Mega oil and gas complex projects
- Comprehensive experience in all aspects of construction management throughout a major project construction phases
- Good HSE awareness and commitment and good written and verbal communication skills
- Good technical and interpersonal skills
- Should have solid shutdown experience
- Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems
- Experience with contractors and worldwide suppliers, in particular those involved in the construction of major oil and gas facilities
