Role profileJob Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and remote support to our customer base
- Reproduce, investigate and diagnose problems within SLA
- Liaise with customers to inform of progress on issues they have raised, request information, manage expectations and close out issues.
- Take ownership and the initiative in customer support issues and escalates when necessary.
- Log, track and update incidents in our issue tracking system
- Contribution to knowledge base/FAQ to assist Customer Support in simplifying the support process
- Issue customer surveys; collate survey data responses and create reports
- Create and maintain support dashboards and dashboards for customers
- Create customer tickets statistics
- Manage project handovers from Product Engineering
- Clearly document requirements for Product Engineering
- Other duties as determined from time to time by your manager
- System administration and monitoring: Windows platform (2008R2, 2012, 2016) and Linux platforms ( CentOS )
LAN/WAN understanding (switches, routers and firewalls)
Desirable to have knowledge of :
- Basic Microsoft SQL administration (installation, maintenance, backup).
- Virtualization (VMware).
- Active Directory configuration.
- At least one script language (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- JIRA.
- SAN and NAS storage
- Any flavour of telecommunication providers infrastructure/systems is an advantage
- Any flavour of Unix/Linux is an advantage.
