Role Summary:
Offers the opportunity as an experienced Digital Communications Manager to join the team in Dubai, UAE.

The Digital Communications Manager will join a small team, working closely and reporting to the VP of Communications. This role plays an important role in the design and delivery of digital communications strategy, ensuring digital presence of Digital Solutions, including social media, online written content, updating website content, etc.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Act as a "Digital Leader" with ability to adapt to agile working methods.
  • Develop, own and deliver the DS digital media strategy working with the larger DS Corporate Affairs team.
  • Lead on creating and maintaining appropriate and consistent language and terminology across all digital platforms.
  • Track and analyze digital presence;
  • Use web audience and social media mapping and analysis tools, strategically develop and maintain links with target individuals and organizations.
  • Develop, implement and manage digital marketing strategies that put the Baker Hughes brand and DS products in front of our target audience; write and pitch content and use analytical tools to unearth invaluable info about target customers.
  • Drive digital-first thought leadership and long-term digital solutions by applying strong leadership and relationship building skills.
  • Continuously innovate and benchmark with competition.
  • Drive special internal and external projects as needed.
  • Carry out horizon scanning and monitoring to inform future opportunities to develop DS’ communications and wider organisational goals.
  • Ensure partnership with Marketing to maintain DS’ website, including copywriting and editing, setting KPIs and using analytics (including Google Analytics, email marketing tracking) to regularly measure, evaluate and optimise all digital communications activity.
  • This role reports directly to the VP DS Corporate Affairs and is part of the broader DS Corporate Affairs team, requiring the candidate to be a resource for internal communications, corporate brand, our story, and helping translate our positioning for a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Managing the day-to-day posting and advertising on social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin
  • Design graphics, films, in cooperation with external agencies as required

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Fluent in English, additional languages a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% when the situation allows.
  • A minimum of 8 years of website, SEO, communications and digital marketing experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in marketing, digital, communications or business economics.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and executing social media strategy that builds an engaged and expanding audience for Digital Solutions and EVP.
  • Strong writing skills to effectively communicate our brand’s message and data analysis skills to extract value from reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of SEO, analytics, advertising, business practices, social media, email marketing and web development.
  • Knowledge of financial drivers; experience in managing return on investment objectives.
  • Google Analytics and AdWords proficiency
  • Proven track record in aligning an organization’s activities with corporate strategic objectives and brand.
