Job Description
What are my responsibilities?
- You are the effective Business Partner for the assigned Country(ies) to ensure timely and accurate month/ quarter end closing and reporting. Also responsible for handling accounting queries of the assigned country(ies)
- Responsible for accounting function/ transactions and to ensure that general accounting processes and function is in adherence to Siemens Financial Guidelines (SFRG)
- Ensure transactions are recorded in conformance to and in line with Siemens International Chart of Accounts
- Monitor and manage key Balance Sheet positions for assigned MEA entities ; e.g. Unallocated AR, Advances to Suppliers, Retention, Advances from Customer and Retention - Drive Balance Sheet Review process for assigned country Divisions independently and provide remediation and solution
- Responsible for resolving reporting and closing queries qualitatively and develop controls to avoid repeated issues
- Support quarterly and yearly external audit process by providing timely information and resolve queries from auditor qualitatively (if applicable for the assigned country)
- Ensure month end closing process is executed smoothly in coordination with Service Hub and ESPRIT reporting is done with high quality and as per defined timelines
- Ensure timely and qualitative reporting of Financial Disclosures ; e.g. ADSTAR,
- A trusted Business Partner for Divisions -focusing on guiding on complex accounting topics, remediate issues timely and effective monitoring of topics
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and to drive successful implementation of the initiatives
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Commercial, Finance, Accounting or BA degree from reputable University or college
- Several years of experience with the commercial background ideally from similar organization
- Solid Analytical skills with Accounting background, Chartered Accountant preferred
- Excellent communication skills, Fluent in English language preferably in a regional function
- SAP working experience is a Must requirement. Working level knowledge of ESPRIT is important
- Experience of working in truly multicultural working environment
- Siemens reporting process-e.g. ESPRIT as well as Financial Reporting Guidelines
