The role entails;
- Direct, develop, mentor and lead the Architecture team while challenging and introducing new and innovative methods of execution.
- Planning and leading the delivery of Architectural designs and multi-disciplinary projects.
- Develop and agree job work packages, budgets, and progress.
- Leading and contributing to the preparation of proposals and bids for projects.
- Providing direction and support to project management from concept through to completion and assessment work.
- Develop design concepts, guidelines and frameworks.
- Shared responsibility for portfolio business development.
- Providing creative design solutions to fit the needs of our clients and communities.
- Ability to Secure, schedule and manage workload.
- Design leadership and awareness, growing the design capabilities of the team by mentoring them.
- Ability to participate and encourage design critique on all projects.
- Degree qualified Architect, registered with an accredited international Board of Architects or approved Architectural design organization.
- A minimum of 10 years’ work experience (availability of attested experience certificates) in design and delivery of Architecture focused projects within an international design practice is a must.
- The candidate must be ADM registered Architect or atleast have their degree equalised.
- Outstanding client management and project delivery experience
- Experience in liaising with government authorities.
- Familiar with standards and codes used by the local authorities.
- Ability to read and understand project drawings.
- Previous experience managing and leading teams.
- Provide leadership to the Team in line with GHD’s values and purpose.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
- Pro-active and self-motivated, with the desire to make a valuable contribution.
- Middle East experience is a must. Working knowledge of design, international standards and construction practices specific to this region, will be considered favorably.
