Job Description
Wasasa Microfinance S.C. has been engaging in providing financial services to active poor communities of both rural and urban areas of The Oromia National Regional State since the year 2000. Currently, Wasasa’s Management wants to recruit a qualified and competent person on the following vacant position.

Duty station: Head office; Sebeta, Alemgena
Terms of employment: Permanent
Number required: One (1)

Job Summary
Developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Ensures the timely reporting of all monthly financial information of the Company
• Assists the Finance Department manager to support overall department goals and objectives
• Assists in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the finance department

Job Requirements
Desired qualifications
Should be a BA/ MBA/MA in Accounting, Finance and Accounting related fields of study and 8/6 years of relevant work experience out of which 3 years in senior position.

Training
Competence in MS office and Accounting package. Certification in IFRS is an advantage

Language Proficiency
Good command of written and spoken English & Afan Oromo is required.
