Printing Machine Operator Job at Itineris - Dubai
Role Summary:
The Printing Machine Operator will produce printed materials according to project / print ticket specifications utilizing high volume digital printers while maintaining the highest possible quality standards.
Position Location: Dubai, UAE
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
– Safely use and operate various types of digital printing machines.
– Identify and select different types of substrates and material for print such as corrugated sheet, ACP, MDF, fabric, foam board, Vinyl etc.
– Prepare the machine for Large Format printing, Digital Typography, Vehicle Wraps, Building Wraps, High Resolution posters, Trade Show displays, Wallpapers printing, Promotional Custom wraps, POPUP and ROLLUP material etc.
– Inspect the material rolls when received. Verify rolls to the job order (ticket).
– Check printing heads with nozzle tests on a daily basis.
– Monitor the machine regularly to avert preventable breakdowns. Troubleshoot the machines, in case of malfunctions or errors.
– Follow Maintenance schedules and test runs for the machines.
– Setup, program and release jobs from print queue.
– Select colors, images, textures and shapes to create the layout.
– Make a judgment on color matching and suggest corrections
– Print Backlit graphics & wallpaper, banners etc.
– Log jobs and job progress on the ERP system. Keep notes in the system for any special situations.
– Ensure Print in Progress aligns with the quality standards of the project (color, resolution, texture etc.)
– Ensure the final product is delivered on time and in the required quality.
Education & Experience:
– Certificate in a related field preferred
– Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
