Terms of reference for “Telephone Data collector”
Delta Research and consultancy is a private consulting firm which was founded in 2017 by a group of Ethiopian professionals and their associates with rich experience in practical research. We provide full consultancy service to all business sectors with solutions that are grounded on excellence, efficiency and innovation. Since its establishment, Delta Research have been engaging in numerous researches; We assist organizations setting up baseline data program; surveys, and design, assessment of Monitoring and evaluation systems and providing insights geared towards implementation of market-driven and market driving strategies, hence unlocking their business potentials. Delta Consultancy would like experienced and highly motivated young people to join our organization. The position is based in Addis and successful candidates will be contacted for further screening and added to our employee data base.

Type of contract: on contractual base, 3 months with high possible of extension for 1 year.
Duty station: At Delta research consultant office; located near Diberua Hospital or from Home

Key Responsibilities

• All the following tasks will be carried out in collaboration and under the supervision and responsibility of the project coordinator.
• Attend training sessions and get a clear understanding of the need of the research.
• Test questionnaires, pre-arranged survey tools and applications prior to the commencement of actual survey.
• Conduct Phone surveys as requested
• Document issues that arise and communicate them to the project coordinator and supervisor.
• Strictly follow survey procedure, collect and submit Quality data on a daily basis.
• Patient handling of respondents of different social status and background.
• Accept feedback and provide on schedule
• Present feedback to client on scheduled meetings
• Assist in any other related tasks assigned by the Supervisor, project coordinator and data quality control team.

Skills and qualification

• Bachelor’s degree, in Social Science or any other related field;
• Experience in conducting quantitative data collection or in any other research related tasks;
• Very good communication skills in Amharic and English.
• Fluency in Tigrigna, Oromiffa, Somali, Afar and any other local language is preferable;
• Good ability to use the Office package and the Internet;
• Quick learner and effective team-player;
• Willing and ability to carry out assigned tasks on weekends and beyond hours, if required;

Salary: 8000-birr net /month
