The role of Site Operations Management is to lead and coordinate the operations of the site in order to deliver seamless operations for Expo2020.
Opportunity Responsibilities
The purpose of the Manager – Staffing is to develop the Site Operations workforce operational plan by staffing category (paid staff, volunteers, contractors). This includes daily run sheets, check-in/check-out procedures, briefings, equipment distribution, deployment and redeployment, break times, post-prioritization plans, debriefings and daily reporting requirements and timings. This position will lead the scheduling and rostering plan and implementation for the STM team ensuring worker welfare laws are adhered to. It is a critical role to mobilize, train and administer a substantially sized team.

The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Lead on the design, development and implementation of the Site Operations training strategy;
- Participate in and provide subject matter expertise with regards to the bid processes for outsourced positions;
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of STM paid staff through various methodologies including the Emiratisation Programme, Expo Generation Programme and Secondee Programme;
- Work with the Volunteers and Workforce teams to ensure the numbers of Site Operations volunteers required through dot plans is met taking into account multipliers and looking for efficiencies/synergies across the zones, sectors and areas Site Operations will operate;
- This role will transition into a key event time delivery role within the Site Operations Team;
- Coordinate the seamless integration and training of new workforce members (and/or those who require ups killing during event time) into existing operations;
- Ensure continuity plans are in place to ensure 6 months of operations are uninterrupted for Site Operations from a recruitment perspective;
- Lead the team responsibly and proficiently, providing effective line management to direct reports.

Skills
- 6+ years pf experience in a manager role working on a previous major event programme/Site sized equivalent, with specific experience related to developing teams that put the Guest Experience at the heart of decision making and service design, as well as:
- A Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field;
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural organization, GCC region desirable;
- Experience in working on staffing plans and operations for big multicultural teams and events (short time to train people with no second chance);
- Experience on planning schedules, shifts and roster for a large team with multiple individual situation related;
- Experience in leading paid staff and volunteers;
- Experience in managing contractors.
