Medical Department Manager - Outpatient Job at Global Medical Recruiting - Doha

Job Summary:
The Teacher is responsible for the care, supervision and safety of all the children in her classroom. It is the teacher’s duty to provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for each child in her classroom. The teacher must create and maintain effective team working in her classroom with her assistants and with the rest of her colleagues, in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn.

The teacher reports directly to the Nursery Manager.

Key Duties:
Key duties include but are not limited to the below:

Classroom Management:
-Daily checks for any hazards within the classroom and entire setting.
-Keep classroom presentable, neat and orderly.
-Supervise the Teacher Assistants and provide guidance/training.
-Keep daily attendance record of children, and inform Admin & Management if a child has been absent for more than one day. Call parents to check on their child on the first day they are absent.

Lesson Planning and Preparation:
-Responsible for developing daily lesson plans based on the monthly theme. Lesson plans are to be prepared for a whole month and emailed to the nursery Coordinator/lead teacher as stated on the monthly teacher calendar.
-Follow daily timetable accurately and precisely and without any delay.
-Keep your white folder updated at all times.

Child Development:
-Ensure implementation of age appropriate curriculum to nurture the psycho, social and cognitive needs of the children in her care.
-Keep a record of each individual child profile which will be referred to during assessment/report card.
-Develop short and long term goals for each child and the overall group.
-Be aware of the cognitive, social and physical needs of the children.
-Complete assessments of children twice a year as requested by the Management.
-Hold an induction meeting for each new student.
-Prepare an individualized plan for each child based on assessments and observation.

Child Safety:
-Responsible for ensuring the standards of health, safety, hygiene and overall wellbeing of children are maintained at all times.
-Advise management of any concerns, e.g. over children, parents, colleagues or the safety of the environment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
-Responsible for reporting to Management any symptoms of abuse, neglect or abnormal behavior of any child.
-Observe, see, hear and respond to children’s’ needs, emergencies and conflicts that may occur anywhere on the premises or in the playground including children from other classrooms.
-Inform the Nurse and Management if and when there is an "Incident" which may result in a child getting hurt.

Communication with Parents:
-Develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs.
-Maintain all daily reports which include the "Daily Report" that goes to the parent via the HiMama application, sleeping check record and diaper check record.
-Responsible to communicate with parents on child development issues, policies or any other concerns the parent may have through the scheduled induction and monthly meetings.

Professional Conduct:
-Carries out visions and values established by Management
-Be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, staff meetings, promotional events, etc
-Wear the uniform given to you in line with the Uniform policy.
-Must read, understand and follow the nursery code of conduct and fire safety policy given by Management.
-Maintain confidentiality of records and information of staff, children and their families.
-Perform any other duties as instructed by management or owners

Personal Specification:
-Excellent interpersonal skills. Must build and maintain strong partnerships with parents.
-Excellent organizational and planning skills
-Effective written and oral communication skills
-Able to work under own initiative
-An adaptable and flexible approach to working practices of the setting, undertaking other duties where needed as assigned by Management.
-Effective team working skills
-Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
-Be aware of the high profile of the setting and to uphold its standards at all times, both in work hours and outside.

Experience and Qualifications:
-Have a recognized early years/ child care qualification, NVQ, College or University Degree
-Have hands on, previous classroom experience with children 1 - 4 years old
-Native English Speaker only
Position Requirements
Bachelor, 1 to 2 Years work experience
Required Language Skills:

English - Very good
