Job Summary:
The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Finance lead in forecasting, reporting and business partnering across the CPGP line of businesses.

Based in Dubai, the individual will assist in tracking financial performance across the Middle East region for the Licensing and Publishing divisions as well as being involved in administrative tasks for flexible Business models launching from mid-July 2021.

The individual will be supervised by the Finance lead and will have close collaboration with the local Commercial team as well as the Regional finance team based in Singapore and a Shared Accounting Service based in London/Argentina.

Responsibilities:
Forecasting, Planning and Analysis
  • Work with the Finance lead and the Commercial team in building Annual Operating Plan as well as quarterly forecasts ready to present to senior APAC management
  • Support the commercial team by reviewing and maintaining Earned Revenue tools to aid commercial decision making
  • Assist the Finance lead in refreshing the P&L and financial presentations ready for Senior Management reviews including Earned Revenue variance analysis and identification of risks and opportunities
  • Review New Business tracking to support local growth strategies and ensure deals adhere to guidelines while maximising value
  • Refresh licensee forecast templates and track feedback with a view to improve forecast accuracy
  • Co-ordinate timelines with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met
  • Load quarterly forecasts into global planning systems in a timely manner
Reporting
  • Perform closing duties to ensure fair and accurate schedules during quarter end
  • Track weekly Earned Revenue True-up, co-coordinating with commercial teams to get feedback on variance analysis
  • Work with the Revenue Accounting and Contract Administration teams to ensure royalty statements are collected and posted in a timely manner
  • Prepare Earned Revenue accrual review files along with the Finance lead ready for Regional Finance review
  • Review expired contracts and flag Revenue at risk
  • Reconcile Earned Revenue line in the P&L between Management systems and global ERP (SAP)
  • Prepare ad-hoc P&L journals with relevant back-up ready for Controller-ship to post
Flexible Business Models
  • Support the Finance Lead, Commercial Director and FBM Commercial Manager to track variances vs plan, P&L modelling and assist in administrative tasks to ensure business continuity for the new Shop-in-Shop business model
  • Track pricing and volumes at a sku level and communicate variances vs plan
  • Assist Finance lead in building models to forecast long term plan for the new business model
  • Co-ordinate stamping and sending of commercial invoices to the retail partner on a quarterly basis

Basic Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical thinking in both quantitative and qualitative analyses with high attention to detail
  • Effective communication with different levels/functions of the organisation
  • Adaptive mindset, resourceful and willing to learn continuously
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • A relevant degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Preferably working towards an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
  • 2 years of relevant FP&A work experience
  • High excel skills, with prior SAP, Cognos experience preferred
