Job Purpose

Integrate with all the BU planners of all incoming FG shipments from Akzo units.
Liaise with clearing agents to timely clear the cargo.
Maintain shipment tracker
Custom Clearing and Transport Invoices for booking.
Process outbound documents & relevant certificates for Exports to External customers and for ICD supplies.
Assist in Warehouse tasks as required.

Key Activities
The job holder will be responsible for the following activities in supporting the Warehouse, Chromascan and Site Team.

1. HSE:
Observes and abides by site HSE rules.
Uses appropriate PPE while accessing restricted areas of work on site
Participates in all HSE activities ,BBS observations, audits, trainings and closing of allocated hazard reports.

2. Task Execution:

Ensures adequate & quick Communication between all the BU planners, supplier, clearing agent and the receiving site on incoming shipments to meet target timelines.
Track shipping information and work with relevant stake holders to keep supply chain shipments on schedule.
Verify correctness of all import documents by liaising with the supplying entity and the local clearing agents
Produces and reviews proper shipment paper works for customs. Carriers or forwarding agents.
Liaise with the local clearing agent to ensure smooth flow of goods through the Sea/Airports on to the site.
Maintain Shipment tracking & Records Management.
Monitor Billing and Shipping Costs from Freight Forwarders and clearing agents.
Align and be familiar with the local GCC import & Export regulations
Process Export documents, Duty exemptions and Certificates for the local Chamber of Commerce department
Demonstrate international trade knowledge, accuracy, fast thinking, teamwork, and detail orientation.
Manage all Walk-in customers.
Manage cheque collection from customers and submit to accounts
Process all inbound GRN’s for all products manufactured on the Dubai site.

3. Policy Compliance:
Abide by Akzo Nobel values, Code of Conduct, departmental SOP’s, ISO procedures.

Experience

3 to 5 years in Freight Forwarding or Logistics.
High School or equivalent.
Effective communication, including writing, speaking and Interpersonal communication.
Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Basic Soft skills in MS office
Basic experience of an ERP system and the potential to be trained, preferred with Experience in SAP
Should also possess, analytical, time management and customer service skills
