Your Role and Responsibilities
You will bring extensive experience with business development for the Consumer Industry (Retail and Consumer Products) in MEP. This role requires working with geographically dispersed teams embracing time zone and cultural aspects is a key to the success of this position.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze the market to determine target accounts for GBS.
- Develop account plan for the target accounts based on client strategy, IBM's strategic areas of focus, relationship barometer (access to base of power), existing footprint and ability to profitably deliver
- Execute on the account plan through full stack business development (Cold calling to contracting)
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with c-suite executives in client organizations
- Build and maintain relationships with extended IBM consumer industry teams to bring the best of IBM to target clients
- Lead pre-sales and sales activities, assessments and the development of solutions
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams to scope, solution, propose, close and delivery complex engagements
- Deliver $8M in signings and $5M in annual revenue.
- Strong understanding of consumer industry and the role of technology within it
- Ability to quickly build C Suite relationships at existing and new accounts
- Strong presentation development, presentation delivery, proposal development, proposal negotiation, cold calling and executive briefing skills
- Ability to accurately forecast signings, revenue and profit
- Ability to manage multiple, complex sales engagements and collaborate cross-functionally
- Proven track record of consistently exceed aggressive goals
- 15+ years of selling IT projects in MEP.
- 10 years experience in the ability to clearly describe end-to-end business processes and the key integration points, work cross-functionally across different business processes within an organization, and knowledge of challenges faced by implementation teams
- 3 years of signing and revenue attainment in line with the main responsibilities.
- 5+ years of experience working directly with c-level executives to deliver transformational initiatives with significant corporate-level visibility and performance impact
- 8+ years of experience working with clients in the Consumer Industry
