We are looking for a We are looking for a Driver/Operations Assistant that ensure efficient, safe and proper movement of goods and people by driving assigned vehicle professionally.
Key Result Areas:
- Transport service delivery (e.g., efficient, quality, courteous, etc.)
- Safety (e.g., safe driving, vehicle proper maintenance, drive capability)
- compliance with laws (e.g., National drive & PSI/E law) laws)
- Always drive any vehicle assigned in a safe and professional manner as well as secure its cleanliness inside and outside.
- Ensure that all vehicle movements are recorded on the vehicle log sheet. Submit a complete and accurate log sheets, receipts and other relevant documents within the given reporting period.
- Responsible for reasonable fuel consumption and Daily check the fuel, oil, water etc. of assigned vehicle.
- Follow-up and remind the supervisor at reasonable time in advance of scheduled maintenance work being due, report faults, required maintenance or repairs to the supervisor immediately upon discovery
- Take responsibilities for all tools, medical kits and any other equipment supplied with the vehicle.
- Report any security incidents or accidents encountered to the immediate supervisor & Police immediately.
- Assist passengers with loading, unloading, packing and transferring any material as requested.
- Ensure that loading and unloading of the vehicle is carried out in a safe manner, and that the vehicle is not overloaded
- Adhere to national driving laws and PSI/E policies and procedures
- Assists the expatriate and national staff’s vehicles on parking, take to garage for minor maintenance etc. as requested
- Informs staff about the precautious that they should take before and during the trip and give special attention to travelers’ safety and security (eg site belt use)
- To assist in other duties in the office as assigned by the immediate supervisor when not undertaking transport facilitation.
- Assist in the allocation of in town & field vehicles to all staff
- Assist with administrative tasks associated with vehicle insurance, inspections, utility payment, distribute or collect letters, packages & proforma, Garage follow up, checks mails in the post office & perform related liaison works.
- Responsible for distribution of donated medical supplies and equipment to PSI Ethiopia office supported sites and submit stock delivery documents to Store/Finance.
- Interact with staffs/travelers internal or external in a professional manner
- Perform liaisons work and assist in other duties in the office as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Facilitate field level payments per the guidance from Finance team
- Record fixed assets in fixed asset register book and conduct inventory count at the end of the year
- Ensure validity of your diving licenses, annual inspection, insurance and any other required documentation of the assigned vehicle
Background
Diploma / 10th Grade Completion and 3rd Grade Driving License with three years of experience as a driver
