Job Description
Handling the Contract Management of a Project in execution independently, meaning:
- Negotiate with the End Customer/ Main Contractor.
- Participation in commercial meetings with the client
- Drafting letters and correspondence,
- Drafting and negotiating variation orders.
- Drafting and negotiating claims and extension of time.
- Participation in internal and external project review meetings
- Contractual advice and entitlement checks
- Preparation of contractual notifications and documentation
- Setup and maintenance of procedures to ensure contemporary records
- Facilitates and contract close-out procedures to ensure that all terms and conditions of contracts have been complied with prior to final payment.
- Preparation of monthly reports
- Liaison with the project management team to resolve all contract issues and facilitate negotiation of client contract terms and conditions.
- Draft settlement agreements with Client and suppliers.
- Risk Identification and management.
- Cost reduction/Cost Avoidance
- Change Management of the overall project
- Prepare, negotiate and agree claim and variations to the Main Contract with external Project Stakeholders such as Main Contractor (if appl.), Employer, Engineer and Quantity Surveyors
- Tracking, notification, substantiation, negotiation of changes towards client.
- Tracking, commercial review and negotiation of changes instructed/caused by client
- Regular review of claim strategy
- Coordination with internal Project Stakeholders such BEUMERGROUP's Project Management, Commercial Management and other parties such as Construction Management in order to:
- Provide guidance for contractual matters (contract verifications)
- Ensure their support for BEUMERGROUP's appropriate adherence to the Terms and Conditions of the contract (contract workshops)
- Ensure their support to enable BEUMERGROUP materializing its entitlements under the contract (e.g. contemporary records)

Qualifications
- University degree in civil engineering, quantity surveying or similar
- At least 5 years of construction industry experience as Contract Management of a Project in Execution in the Middle East; extensive experience in construction commercial and contracts management or similar.
- Experience with FIDIC Contracts.
- Experience in claims management and settling of claims and variations is desirable.
- Experience in Airport Industry is a plus.
- Good command of the English language
- Ability to travel frequently
