Job Description
Role summary:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for visualizing and creating graphics including logos, infographics, layouts and photos in support of marketing activities and bids. The Graphic Designer will contribute to the visual aspects of websites, social media platforms, marketing collateral, bids, exhibitions and more.
Graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Interpret requests from stakeholders and determine requirements.
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand.
- Use the company branding, colors and layouts for each graphic; ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
- Plan concept by studying information and materials.
- Illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
- Obtain appropriate approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
- Test graphics across various media.
- Amend designs after feedback.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Graphic Designer, preferably within a corporate company.
- A strong portfolio graphics
Key Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
- Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal
