Job Duties and Responsibilities :
• Accountable for ensuring that the service/product supplied to EK is within budget allocation and at least possible cost.• Analyse food and beverage costs to ensure appropriate control is initiated and best value for money is delivered.
• Organize periodic menu rotations for inflight and Premium class lounges by taking into consideration the customers’ needs throughout his/her journey.
• Ensure that the Food and Beverage offering complement each other whilst providing variety and choice.
• Manage catering contracts relevant to the stations in the allocated region.
• Ensure effective performance management techniques are applied against contracted service level agreement targets to deliver a consistent level of quality and standards representative of supplying to the EK brand.
• Conduct regular menu presentations/workshops for both our inflight and Premium class lounge offering. Carry out regular supplier evaluations by conducting Food Safety and Halal compliance assessments against the EK standard.
• Conduct and record regular F&B quality and compliance checks by carrying out pre and post flight audits. Analyse residual meal uptake to minimize waste, initiating corrective action where required.
Job Requirements and Qualifications :
• Degree or Honours in Culinary Arts or F&B Management or equivalent.• 8+ yrs in the hospitality industry specifically in an F&B related role of which at least 3 years should have been in an airline catering environment
