Position summary:
As a Systems Support Engineer, you’ll use your analytical, technical, and communication skills to install and support Stryker’s software in hospitals across the US and globally. You’ll work with your customers’ IT project managers, network, server administrators, and clinicians to design and deploy solutions that meet their unique needs.

You’ll own your territory and build lasting relationships with your customers as you support them installing, servicing, and upgrading our software. Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)
• Plan and design technical solutions to meet customers’ requirements while ensuring interoperability of hardware and software with customers’ information systems
• Installation, configuration, and service of software, servers, and peripheral equipment
• Diagnose hardware and software problems associated with information systems and networks
• Collaborate with Product Engineering team on changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements
• Perform software upgrades and system recovery operations remotely
• Follow written procedures for troubleshooting and maintenance of clinical workflow information systems
• Interacts with Technical Support and/or Advanced Field Service Technicians to resolve complex issues
• Responsible for compliance with standard written procedures and quality documentation of company policies and procedures of the Service department
• Interacts with customers regarding systems configurations and operability
• Has the independence and authority to perform required tasks to ensure all provisions of the quality system are met

Education & special trainings:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in information technology, information systems, engineering or math or equivalent experience preferred.

Qualifications & experience:
• Up to 25% overnight travel annually.
• 2-3+ years related experience from one or a combination of the following fields preferred: systems administration, network administration, EMR integration, clinical imaging, biomedical or perioperative information systems, VoIP/unified communications

• Must be able to manage own territory with minimal supervision or oversight.
• Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately.
• Must be able to analyze and correct complex process and/or product issues using independent judgment.
• Must be able to understand the interactions between systems, sub-systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair complex integrated systems.
• Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
• Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information.
