ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role in Debtor’s management across the 3 channels of our Middle East business with a strong focus on maximising value to Fonterra through forecasting and cashflow management.Key Responsibilities:
- Debtor management including cash collection, netting of Debit Notes/ Credit Notes and charging interest for overdues where applicable
- Work closely with the Credit and Compliance Lead and will assist in payment terms reviews, reviewing the credit limits across customers and countries
- Work with the Sales Managers to manage overdue balances with customers, obtaining payment schedules and resolving issues in a timely and courteous manner
- Work with Finance Business Partners in maximising Fonterra value through receivables forecasting
- Setting up new customers, completing sanction checks and completing customer risk profiles
- A key member of the ITP forum, providing decision making for at risk orders
- Subject Matter Expert on credit instruments including Bank Guarantees, Letter of Credit and others
- Delivering step-change initiatives and driving improvement in the credit space.
- Report and provide insight into customer risk profiles, sovereign risk, compiling information for credit review.
- Calculating, reporting and providing insight on month / year end debtors balances.
- Develop a proactive approach to risk assessment and targeted focus on debt recovery.
- Provide support to the Commercial and Sales teams as required
ABOUT YOU
You would possess the following:- Master’s Degree qualification in Finance, professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant is preferable.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounting within the FMCG industry
- Strong Ms Excel skills
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written
