Although perhaps better known for our veg, we also have our own butchery and deliver organic meat to homes across the country.Riverford meat is 100% organic, British, meticulously sourced, properly hung and carefully butchered for the very best quality and flavour.
At our butchery, we produce over 5,000 packs of mince, sausages and burgers a week, and our ground production team are responsible for it all.
From first grinding our beef, lamb and pork trim, to mixing the ingredients and finally producing outstanding sausages for customers across the country.
As our Skilled Operative, you will support the Team Leader in delivering the day’s requirement for your department. You will be key in keeping the team motivated to achieve your targets for the day, communicating positively when you need them to pick up the pace and working with all the departments around production to solve problems or keep them up to date with any issues.
Skilled Ops step up to the mark in the absence of the Team Leader, so you’ll need strong communication skills; working collaboratively to keep the department running smoothly, helping with the day-to-day management of the team, as well as taking on more responsibility when the team leader is absent.
Also, the Skilled Ops role is tools on and rotating around the team doing different tasks.
