About the role:

  • Reviews and approves requests from the insurance team for adjustments and refunds
  • Ensures the resubmission insurance claims that have received no response or are not on file
  • Monitors and manages the productivity and performance of assigned employees including reporting daily/weekly/monthly department metrics to Finance Manager
  • Ensures the team follows-up with insurance companies and confirms claims are paid/processed
  • Produces productivity and error reports for the department manager
  • Oversees that the team reviews and appeals unpaid and denied claims
  • Performs monthly billing audits to ensure timely and accurate claims submission and insurance follow up activities
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators and data for department, and provide reporting and action plans for improvement.
  • Supervises the team to ensure maintenance of an error rate in accordance with departmental policy
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Finance Manager

Self-Management

  • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
  • Takes ownership of his/her own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the manager and agreeing on the individual development plan which goes beyond just training and development
  • Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth

People Management

  • Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensure effective implementation of the GMG performance management process
  • Develops talent within the team by providing guidance, mentoring and coaching to achieve the defined goals
  • Drives a culture of feedback and coaching in the Department by providing feedback on an ongoing basis, identifying development needs and coaching the employees on the areas of improvement

Job Summary :

Responsible for overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

Qualifications :

  • BS Accounting/Finance, Commerce or related field
  • 5 years’ experience in Retail / Trade Finance
  • Qualified Certified Public Accountant
  • Knowledge in SAP
  • Advance MS Office skills particularly MS Excel
