About the role:
- Reviews and approves requests from the insurance team for adjustments and refunds
- Ensures the resubmission insurance claims that have received no response or are not on file
- Monitors and manages the productivity and performance of assigned employees including reporting daily/weekly/monthly department metrics to Finance Manager
- Ensures the team follows-up with insurance companies and confirms claims are paid/processed
- Produces productivity and error reports for the department manager
- Oversees that the team reviews and appeals unpaid and denied claims
- Performs monthly billing audits to ensure timely and accurate claims submission and insurance follow up activities
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators and data for department, and provide reporting and action plans for improvement.
- Supervises the team to ensure maintenance of an error rate in accordance with departmental policy
- Performs additional duties as assigned by Finance Manager
Self-Management
- Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
- Takes ownership of his/her own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the manager and agreeing on the individual development plan which goes beyond just training and development
- Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth
People Management
- Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensure effective implementation of the GMG performance management process
- Develops talent within the team by providing guidance, mentoring and coaching to achieve the defined goals
- Drives a culture of feedback and coaching in the Department by providing feedback on an ongoing basis, identifying development needs and coaching the employees on the areas of improvement
Job Summary :

- BS Accounting/Finance, Commerce or related field
- 5 years’ experience in Retail / Trade Finance
- Qualified Certified Public Accountant
- Knowledge in SAP
- Advance MS Office skills particularly MS Excel
