Working in a competitive environment, we deliver a highly-targeted range of recruitment activities which focus on the awareness end of the prospect journey : generating high quality, convertible leads and working in partnership with the Marketing team, Prospect Experience & Conversion team and colleagues in Academic Schools to nurture and take prospects to point of enrolment. Data and evidence constantly informs our targeting and resource allocation decisions to ensure that we provide an efficient and effective service to prospects at all times.

Reporting

The Regional Recruitment Assistant will report to the Regional Recruitment Manager and Regional Recruitment Director.

Aims of the Post

To build on the success of the University's current international student recruitment in key markets at the undergraduate and postgraduate level by consolidating and developing existing markets as well as identifying and exploiting new markets.

Objectives of the International Recruitment Office:

  • To maximise this institution's share of appropriately qualified full fee overseas students in line with the University and School targets.
  • To maintain and further develop existing markets
  • To identify and investigate potential new markets
  • To foster excellent relations with academic staff within Schools and to provide them with market information on a regular basis.

Duties of International Recruitment Assistant

  • Responding to enquiries by providing the information requested or, where appropriate, referring them on to the appropriate person. This will further help us to respond to enquirers in a swift, helpful and courteous manner, particularly when other team members are away on recruitment trips. Providing quick and helpful responses to enquiries is a key recruitment tool.
  • Assist with processing applications received for all foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This includes but is not limited to contacting the pipe, meeting with prospects and giving campus tours.
  • Assisting with arrangements to support an extensive programme of commitments, including visits to schools and colleges and attendance at recruitment events. This involves maintaining a database of commitments, organising the preparation and freighting of materials overseas and coordinating travel and accommodation.
  • Assisting with agent management and relations, processing of contracts and providing them with the application portal access. This includes but is not limited to processing of agent commissions, invoicing and follow ups.
  • Assist the regional team through the student credibility checks during peak recruitment periods.
  • From time to time assist other departments including admissions especially during peak recruitment periods
  • Ensure portfolio and product knowledge is comprehensive and regularly updated.
  • Regularly horizon scan on competitor activity and market opportunities and ensure the University's recruitment activities reflects best practice in the sector.
