DESCRIPTION
Planning production for a busy tier 1 manufacturer. Producing daily and weekly production plans for the company's 5 axis lasers, presses and robot cells, ensuring that resources and outputs are maximised. 100% OTIF schedule achievement.Understanding of automotive parts/panels assemblies and sub assemblies
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and produce weekly and daily production schedules, based on optimum batch sizes, machine availability and resource
- Liaise closely with the production supervisor and material controller adjusting the Plan as required for variations in WIP, stock, raw material or machine down-time
- Key player in daily production meetings
- Ensure customer schedules are adhered to
- Main customer contact point for supply related issues and requests
- Liaise with subcontract suppliers and update their demand schedules as required
- Ensure real-time revisions are made to the plan on the basis of actual output versus plan, material and machine availability.
KEY SKILLS
- Excellent knowledge of production planning systems preferred
- Proficient in excel and email
- Excellent communicator with the personal gravitas to drive improvements and ensure plans are adhered to
- Hard working, proactive, intelligent
- A team player with experience of driving orders from receipt of materials through to despatch of finished product.
