Walk in Interview, Apply for Energy Efficiency Specialist--DPG Job in Doha, Qatar
About this role
Work location: Doha onshore head office with potential for visits to project sites and offshore facilities;
- Job holder is expected to work autonomously within the scope parameters set by M&R Manager and DPG with guidance required only in the most complex situations;
- As a subject matter expert, the job holder is expected to provide coaching, training and advice to COMPANY personnel as appropriate;
- The job holder will be expected to collaborate with peers in Operations, HSEQ, Drilling, Engineering & Construction, Logistics;
- The job holder will be responsible for the execution of UC67 – Energy Efficiency;
- Identify and recommend energy savings strategies to achieve more energy-efficient operation;
- Build necessary tools to allow the monitoring and analysis of energy consumption across the field offshore and onshore;
- Scope out the UC67 project and work together with DPG and 3rd parties to deliver the project to the business in 2022;
- Contribute to the monthly GHG and energy efficiency steering committee meeting;
- Provide support to Operations to ensure optimum operation of existing assets with respect to energy efficiency. Review existing operational philosophy and identify areas for improvement;
- In collaboration with HSEQ, FOPS and the Digital Project Group develop dashboards and digital twin use cases related to energy efficiency;
- Participate in annual sustainability report preparation for COMPANY and Qatar Energy.
What you need to bring
o High level of technical expertise in the field of energy optimisation essential, with experience in energy transition an advantage;
o Familiarity with gas- and electrically-driven rotating machinery in a energy efficiency perspective is a strong advantage;
o Evidence of practical application of engineering science and technology, this includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment design;
o Good project management skills.
