Our client, an Operator company, is urgently looking for a "Head of Engineering (Pipelines) " willing to work under the following conditions for an upcoming project:

Work hours per day: 10hrs./day
Workdays per Week: 6 days/week
Workday per Month: 26 days/month
Contract Duration: 24 Months
Current Location: Qatar & TBD (Any Overseas Location)
Key Result Areas:
- Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Company policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
- Lead and provide expert guidance pipeline, cables, umbilical and crossings design during FEED and EPCI tendering phase of the Pipelines project, ensuring relevant work scope is completed in compliance with project objectives, cost and schedule.
- Lead pipeline design engineering assessments, such as pipeline lateral buckling and walking, on-bottom roughness, pipeline span analysis, expansion analysis, route selection, shore approach design, crossing design, riser and spool analysis, pipeline installation etc. Ensures quality assurance and production timing of all pipelines engineering deliverables.
- Manage the transverse engineering activities across disciplines including structural, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, pipeline, umbilical, HSES and risk. Facilitate the close-out of cross engineering related issues as requested to ensure Project delivery on time.
- Provide guidance and input for Engineering contractor's strategies, plans and procedures. Ensure compliance with project objectives, monitoring performance, identifying potential technical problems and initiating appropriate corrective actions.
- Lead the identification and incorporation of technical interfaces into project design and manage the design interface with COMPANY Operations, Drilling and Well Management teams as well as Jackets, Topsides and Onshore project teams.
- Manage the implementation of project risk assessment activities for Engineering including What-Ifs, HAZOPs, Design Reviews etc. Develop and manage the Pipeline Design Document Review Matrix.
- Manage the effective communication of all engineering issues, providing relevant data (narrative, charts, graphs, etc.) and propose timeline for effective resolution.
- Oversee survey Contractor in planning and executing all required geophysical and geotechnical offshore and onshore surveys.
- Ensures that Management of Change Process for all engineering disciplines, including the processing of technical queries and approval of supplier concession requests, are managed effectively to support project deliverables.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years' experience. 8 years relevant operator experience relating to general design and operations of pipelines in major offshore oil and gas development projects, with prior experience coordinating the design and execution of major pipeline projects in a similar environment.
- Extensive knowledge of offshore pipeline design concepts, construction practices, welding qualifications and materials and the fabrication process of specialist steels and pipes together with a detailed understanding of applicable design codes and standards.
- Previous experience of managing disciplines engineers is essential. This role is pipeline focused, however, liaising and managing the interface with various engineering disciplines is required.
