Duties- You manage integrated and multidisciplinary proposals, with support of the Business Development and Product Manager in Water and support other products when needed.
- You are responsible for the coordination of the necessary actions to be done by the tender preparation team in order to prepare and submit PQs, EOIs and offers in time, the client contacts, the tenders planning, (commercial part of) the methodology writing, the risk and ethics assessment, quality control, price setting, and tender submission.
- In order to properly manage the overall sales process, you identify and adequately resolve bottlenecks, also in case of unexpected events.
- Together with the BDM you define the tender strategy.
- You work closely together with your colleagues within the BD&S team and production to improve the quality of the offers.
- Management of interfaces with frequent contacts with internal/external project stakeholders.
- Follow up and integrate partners and subcontractors’ contributions in Salesforce during the sales/proposal phase.
- You participate to the weekly technical/ commercial conference calls with the multidisciplinary team to follow up the new leads and offers and to discuss the progress of offers in preparation.
- You actively participate to improve the sales process and tender tools.
- Provide inputs for the commercial reporting, analysis of loss/win tenders, risk & opportunities register, and bidding strategy
- You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
- You have at least 3 (for Proposal Manager) or 8 (for Sales Manager) years experiences in sale, tendering and proposal preparation of desalination in one of the competitors in the Region.
- Minimum 4 years experienced in a project engineer, or similar, role in the consultancy firm, or in the construction industry.
- You have proven experience in the water business; Desalination projects is a strong asset.
- You have the sense of priorities and you have an analytical mind.
- You are good at listening to the customers; you have a naturally customer focus.
- You are an autonomous person; you can properly assess and anticipate the consequences of your decisions.
- You are pro-active, dynamic, motivated and creative. You take the initiative to acquire new knowledge.
- You have a great capacity for multicultural human relations, analysis and synthesis.
- You are good at planning simultaneous assignments and you are a good organizer, even in unexpected circumstances.
- You are a good team player with an eye for details.
- You have good writing skills.
- You are highly familiar with IT tools, amongst them Word, Excel and internet applications.
- You are prepared to travel regularly within GCC region for short missions
- You speak fluently English. Knowledge of Arabic is welcome.
