Wyndham Dubai Deira is now seeking a Nurse/Administrative Assistant to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

SUMMARY
The role holder will contribute to the performance of the hotel by taking full responsibility for ensuring the health standards according to the country standards and the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts policies while providing Human Resources service to all the team members. He / She will maintain accurate record of all health documents while providing statistics and reports for medical attention, make the inventory of the medical equipment, wellness sessions and their general wellbeing. As a HR support, he/she will assist in developing and implementing initiatives which embrace Wyndham values and ensuring that all team members are treated in a positive, fair and supportive manner through their employment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Team Member Wellness and Safety
  • Provides support in making sure the health of the team members is prioritized in case of occupational injury, providing first aid treatment whenever possible.
  • Monitors/follows up health certificates for all new team members.
  • Is able to identify the top 5 health issues in the hotel and make sure to organize at least 2 sessions of health awareness monthly on preventive health care for the team members.
  • Makes sure that the first aid supplies are always on agreed par stock level and order them before they run out.
  • Provides monthly opening, usage and closing reports for the DHR.
  • Assists all new team members for medical screening.
  • Makes sure that medical insurance cards for the team members are received on time and all application for residence visa is given back to the PRO for processing.
  • Ensures that notice board is kept up to date of information and communication necessary to team members regarding certified first aiders’ photos and details, health awareness program, healthy tips and medical appointment.
  • Manages the sick leave policy and make sure ALL team members are knowledgeable about this.
  • Is responsible for logging all sick leave reports to HRIS SYSTEM and is fully responsible for recording, tracking and controlling of the payment related to sick leave of the team members.
  • Makes sure that the clinic is on Brand standards and represents the overall mission of the hotel when it comes to the wellness.

Human Resources Responsibilities
  • Takes personal responsibility for ensuring effective flow of all administration including but not limited to Team members’ certificates, file notes, payroll (in the absence of HR Executive), department signature folders, bank letters, opening of new bank accounts.
  • Takes personal responsibility for ensuring that all team members’ personnel files are up-to-date at all times.
  • Ensures that up-to-date, correct contact details are recorded in the HRIS SYSTEM for all associates at all times, including email and mobile numbers. Actively update this information weekly.

Handles the joiners process for all team members to include:
  • Following up on receiving necessary documents together with the signed offer letter from new hires.
  • Booking and communicating flights for new hires
  • Coordinating with housing for room allocations and airport pickups/locals
  • Communicating with training manager with new arrivals
  • Entering all new joiners in HRIS SYSTEM upon arrival
  • Completing all new hire paper work and documentation during onboarding on first day of commencement
  • Handing out the team members’ handbook, induction plans and job descriptions to new joiners
  • Collecting team member passport for PRO to start residence visa process
  • Updating the new hire tracking sheet
  • Coordinating uniform measurements
  • Distributing of name tags, hotels IDs and locker keys
  • Opening a salary ban account
  • Administers the team member’s birthday celebrations including birthday cards, gift, daily and monthly announcements.
  • Executes ideas together with the Human Resources Team but take lead in ensuring the projects reach completion.
  • Ensures that all team members files are kept up-to-date at all times and that filing is done weekly in order to comply with the HR standards.
  • Supports the HR team with any courier requests.
  • Is able to work in multicultural team
  • Ensures that you dine in the Associate restaurant at least three times a week and provide HR Leader on property feedback.
  • Support WEcom with quarterly People, Community and Sustainability engagement events
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all mandatory training
  • Any together duties directed by the DHR.

EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATION
  • At least 2 years experience in the same capacity preferably in a 5-star hotel
  • Degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Excellent knowledge of First Aid Administration.
  • Knowledge in health and safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of local law pertaining to clinic administration and health issues
  • Computer literacy and sound administrative experience.
  • Passed the Nurse Licensure Board in home country.
  • Holder of DOHMS (Department of Health Medical Services) license.
  • Excellent communication capabilities.
  • English on a high level of proficiency.
