Job Summary
- Responsible for assisting the Engineer in the production of design information while building professional competence in the discipline.
- Design expectation incl MV, LV, Street Lighting, Telecommunications etc along with Internal substation / pumpstation electrical components
- Develops analytical and design skills.
- Assists with the design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure production of high quality
- outputs in accordance with project timelines.
- Develops designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and project BIM models, and exported schematic and final working
- drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Performs work under supervision in accordance with a schedule and with an understanding of the budget.
- Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. When possible, collects and analyses
- information from discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
- Coordinates with other discipline engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design process. Coordination tasks
- include the development of sketches, diagrams and BIM spatial reviews (virtual walkthroughs and clash detection)
- Participates in design progress and coordination meetings.
- Checks and ensures quality of model production by Revit/CAD teams for accuracy to design instructions
- Actively seeks information, opportunities to participate and contribute, and develops efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Maintains and develops the highest level of technical skills and abilities.
- Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
- Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
- Identifies discrepancies in results.
- Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
