The Sox Supervisor has responsibility of managing SOX documentations for ME region. This is a key role for timely, quality, accurately and complete financial reporting. This role also requires a close partnership with business teams to maintain and improve internal controls and procedures as per company policy.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate periodic reporting
- Focus on balance between prioritization, timeliness, accuracy, completeness, and quality
- Assist in periodic SOX/Walkthroughs reporting in accordance with NOV Accounting Control Manual
- Review of monthly BS reconciliations and aging analysis
- Timely follow up with accounting/operation team to resolve any aged items
- Update monthly KPI scorecard with necessary comments and future action plan
- Attend various ad-hoc request
- Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to, assess risks and due diligence for safeguarding resources
- Identify opportunities for automation to enhance productivity
- Review processes to enhance efficiency
- Implement best practices and standardize processes across ME ledgers.
- 8-10 years of experience including supervisory role
- Bachelors degree with accounting qualification
- Efficient and effective communications skills for various stakeholders, including our team, direct manager, dotted line managers within Business Units and/or internationally, and the operational teams on a regular basis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- Exposure to lean accounting and automation tools
- Experience with JDE and Oracle
