We are currently looking to recruit a full time and experienced Teaching Assistant (TA) to support students in the Early Years (Nursery and Reception)

The role

You will be supporting our EYFS teachers (including specialist teachers) to provide quality teaching and learning experiences leading to students making outstanding progress academically and personally to ensure they make a good level of development within the early learning goals

The ideal candidate

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• previous experience of working as an EYFS Teaching Assistant (TA) or Nursery Assistant
• experience of providing support to EYFS aged students – following student interests, in the moment planning etc.
• knowledge of age-appropriate behaviour management strategies
• experience of supporting students with SEND or EAL
• previous experience of working within the Early Years Framework (previously Early Years Outcomes/Development Matters)
• a secure knowledge of technology platforms such as Seesaw for recording observations and assessments
• outstanding communication skills
• ability to manage time effectively to ensure all administrative tasks are completed
• drive for continuous professional development and further training
• a good rapport with young people
• a genuine passion for education
• excellent interpersonal skills
• a friendly, honest and professional manner
• strong English skills – spoken and written

The school has high standards for its students and is looking for someone who thrives towards maintaining high academic attainment. The ideal candidate will be confident and successful in supporting students, some with special educational needs and disabilities and who have followed the Early Years Framework. The candidate’s experience should include working with EYFS aged students (Nursery and Reception).

Only candidates with previous TA experience will be shortlisted for interview.

The role is for August 2021. Remuneration will be competitive.
