We are currently looking to recruit a full time and experienced Teaching Assistant (TA) to support primary students in Key Stage 2.

The role

You will be supporting Key Stage 2 primary teachers (including specialist teachers) to provide quality teaching and learning experiences leading to students making outstanding progress academically and personally.

The ideal candidate

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant (TA)
• experience of providing core subject support to primary aged students
• knowledge of age-appropriate behaviour management strategies - Key Stage 2
• experience of supporting students with SEND or EAL
• previous experience of working within the British curriculum across upper primary level
• a secure knowledge of online teaching platforms including MS Teams and Seesaw
• outstanding communication skills
• ability to manage time effectively to ensure all administrative tasks are completed
• drive for continuous professional development and further training
• a good rapport with young people
• a genuine passion for education
• excellent interpersonal skills
• a friendly, honest and professional manner
• strong English skills – spoken and written

The school has high standards for its students and is looking for someone who thrives towards maintaining high academic attainment. The ideal candidate will be confident and successful in supporting students, some with special educational needs and disabilities and who have followed the UK National Curriculum. The candidate’s experience should include working with older primary aged students across the core subject areas.

Only candidates with previous TA experience will be shortlisted for interview.

The role is for August 2021. Remuneration will be competitive.
