The Role

As the Service and Repair Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and safety of all hire fleet equipment.

You will inspect tools for repair within the agreed timeframe, provide repair estimates for Supervisor and Workshop Manager and arrange for manufacturer warranty work to be carried out.

Actioning approved repairs and accurately recording all costs, you will provide estimates, complete paperwork and carry out equipment repairs and testing.

Additionally, you will attend on-site fleet breakdowns on occasion.

About You

To join us as the Service and Repair Technician, you will need:
- Proven knowledge of mechanical, electrical, lifting, hydraulic and power access tools
- Proven experience in fault finding
- Previous experience of carrying out safety checks
- Experience of managing and making decisions based on budgetary restraints
- An understanding of health and safety requirements
- Proven experience working with a wide range of tools
- Proficiency in IT
- A full, valid driving license (preferably clean)

Previous experience within a role related to training or qualifications would be beneficial to your application, as would experience of Syrinx SP.

This is a full-time role working 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5.30pm.

Other organisations may call this role Electrical Technician, Mechanical Technician, Repairs Technician, Service Technician, Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Operative, Service Technician, or Junior Service Technician.
