We do this by keeping crime out, protecting children and vulnerable people and ensuring the commercial gambling industry is run fairly and openly. We work with the legal system, the public health system, community groups and the industry itself to understand how we can protect the interests of as many people as possible, as effectively as possible.

We are now looking for a Service Designer to support our Digital Team and help to create incredible user journeys.

The Role

As a Service Designer, you will be responsible for creating user journeys and experiences that are simple and understandable.

You will work with user researchers and content designers to understand user needs, with the aim of ensuring services are simpler, clearer and faster to use. You will identify potential improvements to existing services and implement relevant changes.

Using service design techniques such as prototyping, workshops and co-creation sessions, you will design services that support the user journey both online and offline. You will also be responsible for the UI design aspects of the Commission’s digital services.

About You

To be considered as a Service Designer, you will need:
- The ability to create and maintain service documentation and contribute to the design system and service manual
- The ability to identify, understand and challenge constraints to ensure standards are met
- The ability to generate multiple solutions to a problem and understand how to test them
- The ability to listen to the needs of technical and business stakeholders and effectively communicate between them
- The ability to proactively identify improvements to existing services

Interviews for this role will be held remotely via Microsoft Teams.

We are operating a hybrid working pattern with some working from home and some office working (please feel free to discuss what will work for you at interview) and you can be based in Birmingham office.
