Purpose of the Job:
Generate and manage digital information, including blogs, social media and websites, and support the implementation of the digital communications strategy, administer and grow the digital audience and support the smooth running of digital, platforms, including the website. Contribute to production of and posting of creative and informative content that will appeal to target audiences (stakeholders) and deliver key messages. Support the delivery of Commission’s communications strategy through the use of online and digital media.Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- The development and maintenance of websites, blogs, electronic newsletters, social Media campaigns and other digitally produced material;
- An important duty is what traditionally is referred to as desktop publishing, which Involves editing digital images, designing page layouts, and using electronic Publishing software;
- Contribution to writing of and posting content on the Internet ( knowledge of online marketing techniques like search engine optimization (SEO);
- Keeping track of developments to make the most of emerging technologies (Contribute to research whenever timely content needs to be posted may be Required);
- Identify target audiences and recommending the best ways to present information to these audiences;
- Design innovative ways to interact with audiences, including arranging live and Interactive discussions;
- Produce periodic reports on the performance of social media channels and make recommendations for improvement .
REPORT TO: Director, Media and Communciation
DURATIONP: Indefinite Period/Open Contract
SALARY RANGE: Gross monthly salary of ETB 19,157.00- ETB 22,817.00 plus ETB 6,000.00 Housing allowance and ETB 1,500.00 Transport allowance, depending on candidates qualification, experience and earning history
Qualifications and Experience:
- MA/BA in Information Technology or related field.
- Skills in marketing and public relations or specialization in niches such as video editing will be a plus.
- Technological savviness is required.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience for BA and 2 years of relevant experience for MA
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge of Amharic and English is required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.
