Job Description

LonAdd HR Consultancy Plc (www.lonadd.com) is a Recruitment & Outsourcing Company based in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, with branch offices in Dukem and Hawassa.

We are recruiting a Project Coordinator for an international company engaged in the telecom sector:

SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for direct site supervision of all assigned projects to ensure quality assurance, timely delivery and daily reporting and escalations to Project Manager. The Supervisor shall be responsible for day-to-day management of the sites till site is handed over timeously to customer without snags. This position is very demanding and requires someone with right attitude and mindset, goal oriented and able to take ownership of sites assigned to them.

Key responsibilities are:

• Directly supervise teams or subcontractors to ensure works are executed according to scope and time
• Conduct Technical Site Surveys to collect all required information for preparation of detailed drawings, reports and Bill of Quantities
• Ensure timely delivery of project
• Support teams to carry out works to achieve set targets
• Send minimum twice Daily Reports on the progress of work and challenges to Project Manager without fail
• Escalate all issues proactively to Project Manager to ensure speedy resolution
• Maintain and protect company properties entrusted to him
• Ability to take sound technical decisions to optimize resources
• Coordinate with office to receive all materials and equipment for the sites
• Timely report on any missing materials
• Constantly engage office for all requirements to complete projects timely
• Ensure compliance with all HSE policies of company and customer
• Monitoring of projects to ensure timely delivery

• Timely delivery of sites without snags

• Timely escalation of measurement and escalation of variation issues to Project Manager
• Timely and proactive support to teams and subcontractors
• Timely reporting to Project Manager
• Effective coordination with office to ensure delivery of all materials and equipment
• Respect for customer representatives
• Providing the right leadership to teams and subcons at site

Administration

• Demonstrate leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage sub-contractors or teams and think in innovative ways
• Able to work well within a team based environment
• Communicate regularly with project staff and teams to ensure all project requirements are provided
• Manage and produce accurate reports in accordance with agreed schedule with Project Manager
• Assist Project Manager with a range of other duties as may be required from time to time

Job Requirements

Academic & Skills Requirement:

• BSc or Diploma Civil Engineering/ Building Construction
• minimum of 5 years’ experience in telecom cell site build
• Technically qualified in Project Supervision
• Ability to use Automatic Levelling instrument or Theodolite for site construction works
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to works
• IT Literate, able to use Microsoft Office
• Must provide immediate response to emergency situations
• Ability to drive and having valid driving license is advantageous
• Sound knowledge in AutoCAD is advantageous
• Must be prepared to relocate and work in any part of the country
