Job Summary
The role is responsible to support Animal Feed / Premix Business by ensuring timely procurement of RM/PM like (Corn, Barley, Soya Been meal, Wheat Bran, Vitamins, Minerals, Enzymes, Amino Acids, other Feed Additives, Dairy, Poultry, & Aqua etc.) while ensuring quality and best service standards. The incumbent is also responsible to ensure that contracts with local and overseas vendors are renewed on time.Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible to manage the entire purchasing Operations for all three categories (RM PM and IMSC).
- Effective and economical procurement of required materials (like Corn, Barley, Soya Been meal, Wheat Bran, Vitamins, Minerals, Enzymes, Amino Acids, other Feed Additives, Dairy, Poultry, &
- Aqua etc.), supplies and services by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
- Negotiate competitive price levels, volume discounts, and service level agreements with key distributors and manufactures.
- Develop new Suppliers basis of price, quality, availability, service level, reliability and technical support.
- Perform periodic vendor audit to track and analyze supplier performance on delivery, returns, quality, price and other factors as identified.
- Collate information about supplier markets for useful technological developments, alternative suppliers or material, product improvements etc.
- Preparing and maintaining approved suppliers list, vendor Visit reports, Comparative analysis.
- Ensures that goods are shipped in the most timely and efficient manner according to documented processes including insurance, selecting the mode of transportation, and tracking the shipment from
- pick up through delivery all the while targeting cost reduction, freight savings, service and contractual requirements and clearance.
- Review forecast on a monthly basis and Monitor stock requirements and movement along with Planning Team.
- Coordination with warehouse and update the status of goods received and valuate the transit damages and quality of the materials. Liaison the same with suppliers & insurance department about the goods condition.
- Contribute to team effort to ensure the attainment of both inbound and outbound shipment clearance, efficiently within clearance performance targets and transit time.
- Prepare Monthly MIS reporting; participate in focus group meetings as per schedule,
- Implementation of division of sourcing rule as per Corporate Norm.
- Plan and Implement cost optimization Initiatives lead and execute Purchasing Strategies.
- Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
- Coordination with Accounting/ Finance department for the timely payment release to suppliers.
- Prepare and maintain Vendor details through MDM.
- Prepare internal reports incl Spend analysis, B Vs A analysis, pending PO report and Pending PR reports.
- Ensure that the company HSE policies & procedures are fully followed

Work experience requirement
3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in purchase function of Animal Feed /Premix manufacturing business.Qualification
Min Bachelors / Preferably Master’sBSC Chemistry OR B.Tech. Chemical OR Agriculture Engineer
