Purpose of the position:

The cashier storekeeper reports directly to the finance officer and receives additional instruction from the regional, zonal manager and woreda coordinator. The post holder will be responsible for efficient and satisfactory provision of all cashier storekeeper services of SPIR II/ RFSA. S/he will receive payments made to Woreda RFSA deposit cash and cheques and fuel coupon to Woreda SPIR II RFSA bank account, preparing and effecting cash and cheque payments as per the directives there on. S/he will ensure proper handling of warehouse goods and properties with consistent management and use goods receiving notes, good issue and bin-card.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Administers petty cash and effects authorized payments ensuring completeness and correctness of supporting documents.
  • Handles Receiving and issue of fuel coupons and materials from store
  • Handles cash collection and timely deposit in the bank
  • Prepares RFSAs Woreda revolving fund replenishment
  • Prepares deposit voucher to record cash collection and deposits
  • Ensure proper reconciliation of physical count with bin cards and stock cards and report the results to the RFSA accountant regularly
  • As the cash custodian, he/she ensures safety deposit of financial assets, handles the material supplies according to the material management and finance guidelines of WVE
  • Report the likely risks to the store and properties therein before any damage occurs, report any damage or missing properties in the store immediately after incidence, and seeks safe disposal as soon as possible.
  • Handles all bank matters except collecting check books, which have to be done by the Finance Officer;
  • Create well-structured filing system & ensure a system of PAID STAMP on the supporting documents and replenished STAMP on PCPV.
  • Being responsible for the overall Association’s Financial Hardcopy filing system by ensuring that all Cash
  • Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

Required Professional Experience:
Minimum 2 years and above in a similar or related positions

Qualification required:
Diploma in Accounting, Business and related field

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
Strong MS office (Word, Excel, etc.) and the ability to use new technology Knowledge of petty cash management Customer handling skills

Working Environment / Conditions:
Travel up to 15% of time.

Location: SPIR II WV,West Hararghe Zone Office (Daro Lebu Boke and Habro), Oromia
