About the role:
- You will be responsible for operating Ground Service Equipment and also load and offload as necessary to safely service the aircraft according to the Standard Operating Procedures.
- Arrange required number of Non-Motorized Equipment to the aircraft parking bay according to flight requirements.
- Assist in carrying out a FOD check prior to arrival and after departure by organizing the Equipment and units for Loading/Offloading.
- Inspect all assigned (and appropriately trained in) Ground Support Equipment to ensure serviceability, fuel levels and cleaning of the Ground Support Equipment and Inform supervisor of any issues, incidents, discrepancies to avoid incidents, or disruption/delay in the provision of service.
- Follow strict compliance to all relevant company Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Airport Authority Standards and Regulatory requirements.
- Use the knowledge of Bag scan system to determine the number of loaded bags, missing bags and give the updated information to the Loading Supervisor.
- Unload passenger luggage, air cargo, bulk and/or container/pallets, onto carts and/or dollies
- Drive and/or operate ground support equipment, which may include baggage tractors, baggage carts, belt loaders, cargo dollies (for which training is provided).

Qualifications
About you:
- An ideal candidate will have a Basic Literacy and Numeracy skills, English communication skills and no prior job-related work experience is required.
- Valid Home Country Driving License.
- HIA-Airside Vehicle Operating Permit.
- Dangerous goods awareness – training and Ramp awareness course.
- Familiar with operating aviation/logistics Ground Support Equipment.
- Awareness of safety practices and able to comply with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Must be physically fit and have experience of working in a manual environment.
- Ability to read and interpret LDM/CPM/QRT messages and the LIRF.
- Knowledge to identify unserviceable containers from serviceable containers.
- Familiarity of flights operating through Doha by flight numbers and three letter codes.
