Purpose:
The Media Executive – Buyer is responsible for negotiating, buying and maintaining fully integrated media buys within assigned markets, putting together media plans and ensuring that all campaigns are executed in a timely manner.
Core Accountabilities:
- Source and connect with international media suppliers across the world as and when required
- Research, plan & buy media across a range of platforms (including print, TV, radio, OOH & digital)
- Negotiate and maintain media deals with direct media suppliers as well as third party agencies for best market rates across all international markets
- Build strong relationships with media owners and third-party suppliers
- Ensure that all ads booked appear on time, in the correct format and position & with 100% accuracy
- Maintain strict booking and implementation process of all offline and online campaigns
- Assist the Line Manager in monthly reconciliation of all bookings including credit notes for clients to ensure that the billing is accurate
- Monitor and optimizes plans & budgets according to the best media mix
- Keep up to date with market conditions
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2-3 years of prior experience in a similar capacity
- Must have good knowledge of working with media in key international markets
- Ability to work independently, be highly organized and be able to multi-task
- Effective communication skills with an ability to influence others
- Must have an outgoing personality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects and deadlines
- High attention to details; strong analytical skills and data driven thinking
- Proficient in MS Office
