Walk in Interview, Apply for Accountant – Projects Financial Control, Reporting & Budgeting Job in Abu Dhabi, UAE
JOB PURPOSE
Support in all projects accounting related activities for Aldar Projects including reporting, execution of budgetary controls, closing of accounts, projects annual budgetary exercise and maintaining related escrow accounts.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting
- Assist in executing the timely and accurate closing and consolidation of all ledgers and accounts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Reconcile balance sheet schedules and follow up with Departments and the Aldar Corporate on outstanding issues and concerns
- Assist in preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards
- Provide support to internal and external auditors and promptly clarify all audit queries raised
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth external Audit verification in accordance with statutory requirements and applicable international accounting standards
- Handle special analyses such as financial analysis and cash flow forecasting for departments and subsidiaries
- Handle the reporting to the group and the preparation of the monthly management report
Budgeting
- Assist in developing budget plans and schedules in line with the company’s policies and ensure the soundness and integrity of all budget data.
- Assist in overseeing the variance analysis for all balance sheet and income statement line items in relation to the budget to ensure that every aspect of the company and department budget variances are analysed in detail with supporting evidence and commentary.
- Assist in preparation of monthly Profit and loss report based on the requirements including actuals vs budget.

Qualifications
RELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCE
Min of: 4+ years of experience of financial accounting and management accounting experience
FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
- Experience of accounting within real estate or related industry is preferred
- Experience in A/P
- Experience in ERP system and Hyperion
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Knowledge of and ability to apply international accounting standards (IFRS) and ERP systems
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to internal controls
- Good analytical skills
- Vigilant and detail oriented
- Strong and clear communication skills
- Strong time management capabilities
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor degree in accounting
Preferred CA, ACCA or CPA
