PAPYRUS is the national UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people.

Head of PAPYRUS in Scotland

PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide is the national charity for the prevention of young suicide, founded in 1997. We have grown very successfully since then and currently have bases in Warrington, Birmingham, London, Cardiff and Belfast.

We are looking to recruit a Head of PAPYRUS in Scotland to own, develop and sustain our presence and activities in Scotland.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary level education and qualification (degree level) in Leadership, Management, Health, Social Care, Social Sciences, Education or similar
  • Proven experience of developing and managing services, programmes, and projects from design to outcome
  • Demonstrable experience of leading a successful team, supporting their development, and managing their performance.
  • Ability to translate strategic plans into outcomes
  • Demonstrable business development skills developing products and growing a service from scratch
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Hours: 36 hours per week. Due to the nature of the role, some evening, weekend and bank holiday working may be required.
Location: Glasgow
Contract: Permanent
