ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Demand Planner to contribute in delivering customer service for the business that aligns with customer expectation both from an external and internal prospective by generating a best in class view of Food Service demand and forms the basis of ‘one set of numbers’ that is used for IBP Process.Key Accountabilities:
Forecasting
- Produce a weekly forecast by account for all category products via business process and correct gathering of inputs
- Ensure baselines, promotional uplifts, event phasing and delivery profiles are regularly reviewed, challenged, agreed and adjusted accordingly
- Champion the forecast process for budgeting
Communication
- Lead all components of the demand cycle with the all relevant functions as identified by the S&OP process or required in order to get best forecast outcomes
- Clearly liaise and partner with broader S&OP and other business functions (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure “no surprises” in forecast
- Challenge and agree with all relevant internal and external partners on baseline, promotional and above the line forecasts – ensure all thoughts and questions re forecasts are addressed
- Actively interact in NPD meetings and other project meetings as designated
Performance Measurement
- Accountable for Customer Service Levels within designated portfolio and total business
- Accountable for weekly forecast accuracy and hitting targets as assigned by the business
- Accountable for reducing business waste through forecast improvement or other options
- On time business process cycle and supporting analytical needs
Process Support & Improvement
- Always act with total business performance mind set
- Champion “One number” principles within business process and system flow
- Identify improvement opportunities and develop solutions that will help deliver role purpose, business needs / overall best outcome for business
- Drive and deliver continued improvement of the S&OP process
- Drive continuing improvement of Demand processes and the TPM tool
ABOUT YOU
You would possess the following:- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Finance / Engineering
- Certification in Supply Chain is preferred
- A minimum of 3 years’ Demand Planning experience, preferably within the FMCG industry
- Excellent analytical, written and communications
- Strong Ms Office skills
