Job Description
A leading regional bank, with headquarters based in Dubai, is seeking a highly experienced senior audit executive to lead their team. The team is already established but the new Head will be tasked with developing a world class internal audit service through designing a robust audit programme, developing the established team to achieve maximum effectiveness, introducing new methodologies and building strong communication lines with the Board Audit Committee and senior management.The bank is primarily involved in commercial banking and trade finance, but also has a retail branch network and so a strong credit review background and the ability to develop control initiatives in these areas are essential. The bank operates a 3 line defence model and so the Head of Audit will deliver 3rd line independent assurance and reporting, but will also be expected to provide advisory services on controls and effective policies and procedures. The Head of Audit is considered a key role in the senior group and offers the opportunity to make a real impact on the operations of the bank.
